King Paluta, the recipient of the 2019 New Artiste of the Year award, claims that anyone who criticizes him for accepting the Vice President's offer is being foolish.
During the Vice President's three-day trip of the Ashanti Region, rapper-turned-singer King Paluta was seen belting out his blockbuster song "Aseda."
The vice president, who also serves as the leader of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), seems to enjoy this song.
Given the current political atmosphere in the nation, King Paluta came under fire for his political activity. He did, however, explain his actions in an interview with United Television, based in Accra, saying that he had no problem accepting the Vice President's invitation.
"I overheard a presenter disparaging me for getting on the Vice President's campaign bus." It seems to me that he has a mental tank to think that way. When artists are invited but fail to appear, even the aforementioned host feels degraded; how much more so does the nation's aging vice president?
The Vice President asked to see me, so I went there. If you're offended by that, feel free to disagree. "Is it illegal if he gives me something to fuel my car, since I drove there with my fuel?" he asked.
