THE PEOPLE OF NSAWAM ADOAGYIRI APPEAL TO THE PRESIDENT TO TALK TO OKYENHENE

 The entire Nsawam Adoagyiri has called on the Prez. of Ghana H E Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo to talk to Okyenhene Osagyefo Amotia Ofori Panyin II to retract his decision to install new chief because they want peace.

During a Press Conference @ Nsawam Adoagyiri 

In a press conference, the Abakomahene of Adoagyiri Odiatuo Okatakyie Afrifa appeal to the Interior Minister Hon Ambrose Dery, the IGP Dr. George Akufo Dampare and all heads of National security to intervene to put a stop to Okyenhene's decision. 

According to him, he said they belong to Akyem Kotoku and not Akyem Abuakwa so they will not allow Okyenhene who is the Omanhene of Abuakwa to install chief on the land of Kotoku.

Nana odiatuo Afrifa said,  they have chief for the past 16years  who is Okoanadwo Effutu Dompreh II who is still alive so they don't want any chief again.

He said they've tried it the fourth time but failed and now decided to intrude their territory again so the president must tell him something.  

Furthermore, he said they are not coward and will fight back the next time Okyenhene attempt.

Nana Kwabena Agyemang from the royal family of Nsawam Adoagyiri said what Okyenhene did was illegal to cross his boundaries. He said the Regional house of chief has named them the rightful owner of the land.

He added that, if there is a rule of law and Okyenhene is not above the law then he must be arrested.

According to Nana Agyamang, Okyenhene has disarmed Nsawam Police that is why he brought his own policemen and taskforce with amenitions to install their chief. They will not allow, they will resist him.

The people expressed disappointed in the president. According to them, Okyenhene is the nephew to him and they suppose he is aware of what is happening but has kept mute.

They said, they voted massively for him to be president so if he continues to keep mute they will retaliate.
