Selfies taken during worship is a curse - Ohemaa Mercy

GOSPEL MUSICIAN OHEMAA MERCY

Ohemaa Mercy, a gospel musician, has voiced worry on the habit of filming or snapping selfies during church services.

Such behavior, in her opinion, shows a lack of regard for God and the hallowed environment of worship.

There are certain things you cannot do while you are appearing before a monarch. To put it another way, while worship is taking place, your main goal is to post it on Facebook or another social media platform as you approach the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords to express your gratitude for saving you from that accident.

In an interview on Joy Prime on July 24, 2023, she said, "It's a curse on you because you don't actually respect the atmosphere and the person you're before," according to myjoyonline.com.

She went on to say that not only is God, the universe's creator, revered in society, but so do even well-class individuals.

She then related a personal story about how she saw a woman lose out on a blessing because she wasn't paying attention and wasn't respectful during worship.

"Before a woman showed up, I noticed an angel holding a baby on an empty chair at an event I went to. She acknowledged that she was having trouble becoming pregnant when I asked. Ohemaa Mercy narrated, "I told her what I saw, but sadly, she hadn't come to worship sincerely, so the angel left with the baby."
