Rapper and musician Sarkodie
Legendary rapper Sarkodie from Ghana has officially admitted to being an introvert, debunking rumors that he is a reclusive and contemplative guy. In an open conversation with Way Up host Angela Yee, Sarkodie revealed the origins of his "laid back" style as well as his difficult upbringing. Real name Michael Owusu Addo, Sarkodie asserted that he was removed from his parents when he was a small child and nurtured by an unidentified person. The challenges he encountered under this person's supervision had a profound effect on his character.
"Living with someone caused me to experience severe troubles; I had no idea where my parents were. Sarkodie said, "It was a difficult start, and the experiences I had were by no means the best," however he refrained from going into too much detail.

Notwithstanding the challenges, Sarkodie has no ill will against the person who reared him. He acknowledges that they tried their best at the time and says that he understands. Nonetheless, he acknowledges that the difficult circumstances he endured have affected him in a permanent way.As they say, there is always a bright side to a storm, and Sarkodie's life is evidence of this. It was during those difficult times that he discovered his writing talent, which ultimately led to the start of his music career.
Writing evolved into a creative outlet for him as a way to communicate his feelings and experiences.
