On Sunday, June 25, 2022, the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Center (AICC) hosted the 5th edition of the Ghana Football Awards.

The Ghana Football Awards program, which honors players, coaches, teams, and administrators for outstanding achievements throughout the last year, has grown to be the most prized in the football world.

The Ghana Football Awards were created in 2018 with the goal of showcasing Ghanaian football brilliance and honoring players and other stakeholders for their accomplishments both domestically and internationally. Since then, it has grown to be the most eagerly awaited football event of the year.
 
The reigning Ghana Premier League winners, Medeama SC, took home the most honors from the nation's most prestigious football awards program this year.
 
Kudus Mohammed, an attacker for Ajax, defeated Joseph Paintsil of KRC Genk and Abdul Samed Salis of RC Lens to win the most coveted prize of the evening: Player of the Year.
 
Ernest Nuamah, a winger for FC Nordsjaelland, won the Odartey Lamptey Future Star award for his outstanding performance during the year in question.
 
Compared to past years, fewer people attended the Ghana Football Awards this year at the Accra International Conference Center.
